Justin Timberlake Breaks His Silence At First Concert Since Arrest

Justin Timberlake shared an emotional message at his first concert since his arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated. The 43-year-old singer was arrested on Monday night (June 17) in the Hamptons after reportedly having “one martini” at the American Hotel in Long Island. Police pulled him over for failing to stop at a stop sign and struggling to stay in his lane. Timberlake was charged with a DWI misdemeanor and released the following morning after being held overnight.

A mugshot released by Sag Harbor Police shows Timberlake looking glassy-eyed and expressionless. According to reports, the arresting officer did not recognize the pop star. Timberlake reportedly refused a Breathalyzer test three times and failed field sobriety tests before being taken into custody.

On Friday (June 21), Timberlake performed in Chicago on his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. Addressing the audience, he acknowledged the challenging week, saying, “We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights. It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now.” He added, “I know sometimes I’m hard to love but you keep on loving me and I love you right back.”

Fans responded with overwhelming support, both at the concert and on social media. One user wrote, “I’m so glad Chicago was able to show him so much love! Keep doing your thing JT! We will be there!” Another commented, “Never hard to love u JT! You are loved UNCONDITIONALLY by your real fans!!”

Timberlake, who rose to fame with NSYNC and is a father of two, is set to perform again in Chicago on Saturday (June 22). His tour includes dates across the US, Canada, and Europe, running through December.
