Penélope Cruz really admires Meryl Streep. She loves her so much that she gets super excited every time she sees her.
At the 2024 SAG Awards, Cruz, who was nominated for an award, talked about how she always rushes to hug Streep because she’s her favorite actress.

She’s said similar things before, like at a BAFTA event in 2023 where she joked about wanting to bring Streep coffee on set. Cruz was thrilled when Streep mentioned her in a speech at an event in Los Angeles.

Even though they haven’t worked together in a movie, they did a photoshoot for charity once. Cruz called it “the most interesting love scene I’ve ever done” back in 2012.
